Exodus - Discografia

Surgido em 1981, no berço do Thrash Metal, a Bay Area, nos Estados Unidos, o Exodus se tornou uma das mais importantes bandas da cena metálica mundial. O som grupo apesar de agressivo e inovador na época, trazia fortes influências do New Wave of British Heavy Metal, que revelou nomes como Iron Maiden, e atitude e filosofia dos grupos Punk.

A primeira formação do Exodus contava com Paul Baloff nos vocais, Tom Hunting na bateria, Geoff Andrews no baixo Gary Holt e Kirk Hammett nas guitarras. Começam a ganhar espaço em 1982, com a gravação da primeira demo, “Whipping Queen and Death and Domination”, que foi muito elogiada pelas outras bandas locais.

Um ano depois, o guitarrista Kirk Hammett foi convidado pelo Metallica para substituir Dave Mustaine, que havia sido despedido. No fim das contas, os dois guitarristas tiveram um destino grandioso: Kirk, com o Metallica e Mustaine que criou o não menos brilhante Megadeth. Já o Exodus, ainda em 83, completou a vaga com Rick Hunolt e ainda substitui Andrews por Rob McKillop.
