Ophthalamia - Discografia

Ophthalamia foi iniciado em 1989 pelo cantor e guitarrista All It, ambos também ativo nos grupos musicais Abruptum e Vondur . A banda chama-se Ophthalamia devido a um mundo de fantasia criado pelo membro fundador. Ele criou e nomeou a geografia, as criaturas da terra e uma linguagem para Ophthalamians. A Deusa do mundo é uma mulher demônio chamada Elishia. Quase todas as músicas escritas pela banda estão conectados de alguma forma para este mundo de fantasia, até seu último álbum, que foi inspirado por Macbeth. Os vocais foram inicialmente tratadas por todos, mas ele foi substituído por Shadow ( Jon Nödtveidt ) no album "A Journey In Darkness". Shadow, por sua vez, foi substituído por Legio no álbum Via Dolorosa. Legion deixou a banda para juntar a renomada banda de Black Metal "Marduk" em 1995 e foi substituído tudo novamente. Winter tocou bateria nos dois primeiros álbuns, mas saiu logo depois que Via Dolorosa foi gravado. Ele foi substituído por Bone. O Guitarrista  Mourning foi substituído pelo ex-baixista Night, que assumiu as guitarras para o álbum Via Dolorosa e agora é o segundo guitarrista. Wist substituiu-o no baixo. Axa (Alexandra Balogh), que contribui como pianista, também compôs a última faixa do album "Storm Of The Light's Bane" da banda Dissection.
