Destruction - Discografia

O Destruction  não é apenas um dos maiores expoentes do thrash metal alemão, assim como bandas como Sodom e Kreator, mas sim, do mundo todo. O grupo foi formado em 1983 na pequena cidade alemã chamada Weil am Rhein por Schmier (vocal e baixo), Mike (guitarra) e Tommy (bateria). A principal característica da banda na época era a forma espontânea do trabalho, que de forma alguma visava o sucesso. Porém pela pegada forte da banda, muitas oportunidades foram destinadas ao trio, que pode no ano seguinte lançar o seu primeiro mini-LP “Sentence of Death” pela gravadora alemã SPV. Este trabalho tomou uma proporção mundial, levando a banda a acompanhar o então nome ‘cult’ do thrash, o Slayer, em uma turnê em 1985. No mesmo ano da turnê saiu o então ‘debut’ da banda, “Infernal Overkill”, um LP completo que foi responsável pela passagem do Destruction no festival canadense World War III e serviu também para estabilizar o seu nome como um dos maiores do thrash metal europeu.
