Dimmu Borgir - Discografia

O Dimmu Borgir é hoje uma das principais bandas de metal (black metal, para ser mais exato) do planeta. O nome da banda vem da palavra norueguesa Dimmuborgir, que significa "castelo negro", e é também o nome de uma formação rochosa resultante de antigas atividades vulcânicas em uma região perto do lago Myvatn, na Islândia. A história do Dimmu Borgir começa em 1993, na Noruega, país de origem dos fundadores da banda. São eles: Shagrath (vocalista, baterista e guitarrista), Silenoz (guitarrista e vocalista) e Tjodalv (guitarrista). Logo depois, o baixista Brynjar Tristan e o tecladista Stian Aarstad se juntam a eles. Guitarras pesadas e com belos riffs, vocais cortantes e agressivos, e teclados com muita melodia e clima são os destaques do grupo. É impressionante a atmosfera que esses elementos combinados são capazes de criar, o que torna a audição de um álbum da banda uma experiência realmente notável. E apenas tendo essa experiência, o leitor terá idéia do impacto do som da banda – descrever esse impacto com palavras é realmente muito difícil.
