Testament - Discografia

Em 1983 surge o Legacy, banda formada por Eric Peterson (guitarra), seu primo Derrick Ramírez (guitarra), Louie Clemente (bateria) e Steve "Zetro" Souza (vocais). Marcada pela mudança constante de seus integrantes, o Testament (como seria chamado posteriormente) marca a história do thrash metal. Em 1984 Derrick deixa a banda sendo substituído por Alex Skolnick. O lançamento de uma demo intitulada First Strike is Deadly com Zetro nos vocais impulsiona a mudança do nome para Testament, mais tarde, com a saída dele para o Exodus, os vocais passariam a ser de Chuck Billy, vocalista de uma banda glam desconhecida da época. Com a formação definida e o lançamento de seu primeiro álbum, "The Legacy", o sucesso foi inevitável, principalmente após a participação da banda no The Dynamo Fest em Eindhoven, Holanda, que além de tudo rendeu um EP ao vivo (Live at Eindhoven). No ano seguinte, aproveitando a receita de sucesso, o Testament produz seu segundo álbum, "The New Order", que viria a colocá-los como umas das melhores do gênero em todo o mundo. Tocando em sua turnê com os grandes nomes no metal (Megadeth, Voivod, Anthrax e Judas Priest), o Testament, em 1988, faz sua primeira aparição em festivais como o The Monsters of Rock.
